Starting from your Sorrento or Positano hotel at 8 AM, the first stop will be at the Royal Palace of Caserta. Built in the 18th century for the Bourbon kings of Naples, this massive palace boasts 5 floors, 1200 rooms, two dozen state apartments, and a large library. Next, head to the city of Naples, the capital of Campania and the 3rd largest city in Italy. Take in the stunning views from the hillside of the Mergellina Port, stop for a delicious Pizza Lunch in front of the Castle Dell'Ovo, and stroll through the bustling Piazza Plebiscito, home to the Royal Palace of Naples, the famous Theatre San Carlo, and the Galleria Umberto I.
